This year at BES our House system has decided to give back! Instead of a party or trip, our color houses have each adopted a non-profit to support this school year. GREEN house is our second quarter winner and they are supporting the non-profit Winnie’s Way. All BES students are invited to participate in a free dress day on Wednesday, Jan. 15th with a $5 dollar donation (larger donations are welcome)! Donations will be made through SchoolCash Online or you can pay with cash. All proceeds from this free dress day will go directly to Winnie’s Way.

Good afternoon! After a briefing today with the National Weather Service and Bossier Parish emergency agencies, Bossier Schools will be open Thursday, January 9. However, the YEP program will be canceled and all extracurricular and after-school activities will be postponed until a later time.
We will continue to carefully monitor the forecast and provide an update at 4 p.m. Thursday regarding school operations on Friday.
Stay tuned for further information and remember, if you do not already have the Bossier Schools district app, this is a great time to download it so you will get updates from the district in real time. Here’s how to find it:
*Search ‘Bossier Schools’ in your phone’s app store and download the app.
*Select ‘Personalize Notifications’ when prompted on initial download to ensure you receive notifications
*Then, select ‘Bossier Parish Schools.’

Bossier Schools is on winter weather watch for the next two days, closely monitoring the forecast with the Bossier Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness and staying in close contact with the National Weather Service. We are thrilled to announce that due to the incredible talent we have seen from our students, we will be showcasing two separate casts for our production of Willy Wonka! Both casts will perform on March 23rd, with showtimes to be announced at a later date. Stay tuned for further details!
Additionally, please note that the entire cast will be required to attend their first rehearsal on Friday, December 13th from 3:30-4:30.

Grandparents Day is tomorrow. Please refer to the attached schedule. They will begin their visit in the classroom so please make sure you tell them who the Homeroom teacher is. If the grandparent is going to check the child out after the event please make sure they are on the student's Yellow Card.
