Bus 150 will now be bus 235 FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE YEAR.

 

Airline won their tennis match yesterday against Ruston!

Gabby Patronis, Emma Wynn, Christian Cockrell, Jackson White, John Michael McLain and Brad Boyd won their singles matches. 

Bella Zimmer and Bianca Pantaze, Holden Meadows and Colby Thomas, Cade Campbell and Spencer Lazenby and Christian Cockrell and Jackson White won their doubles matches. Way to geaux Viking Tennis!

 

Your Airline Viking Golf Team teed off again yesterday in Plain Dealing. Taylor Rodgers, the only Lady Viking Golfer, tied for first.  Big congrats to Taylor, we love winning! 

 

The Drama Department invites you to come and see “You're a good man Charlie Brown”. Featuring Kristina Cole as Snoopy, Lainey Weinberger as Woodstock, and Chloe Fontenot as Sally, the production will run on March 5th and 6th starting at 6:00. Tickets cost $7 for adults and students and $5 for kids. We hope to see y’all there!

 

Boys Basketball will be playing in a first-round playoff game in Lafayette against Comeaux High School TODAY, at 7:00 PM. Cost is $8.

 

#100 will be hosting a second club meeting TODAY, immediately after school. There will be cash prizes, a pizza party and a guest speaker. See Coach Fields are Ms. Brown to sign up!

 

All incoming National Honor Society applicants need to return applications to the Library by TODAY No EXCEPTIONS.

 

Juniors who are interested in being nominated as a Boys and Girls State Representative please come by the Counselor's office and sign up to apply. Sessions will be held June 21-27 at Northwestern in Natchitoches. The DEADLINE to sign up is Friday, March 6, 2020 and interview dates will be announced afterwards. Applicants will NOT be accepted late. 

 

Ms. K. Bryant (F102) has several long sleeve, lightweight, dry-fit pullovers that she would like to finish selling.  All sizes are left.  First come, first serve.  $20 CASH ONLY

 

Juniors: The time to register for ring ceremony in May is here! Stop by Ms. Hagerhjelm's class in M2 or Mrs. Landry's class in E210 to pick up a registration form. Last day to register will be April 15!

From the desk of Coach Wynn: There are about 75 outstanding (which means late) parking tickets that haven't been paid.  If you have a ticket that hasn't been paid, you WILL NOT be able to participate in upcoming events such as Sadie Hawkins, Prom, Mr. Debonair, Most Beautiful, etc.  If you think you have a ticket or are not sure, come by and see Coach Wynn or ask your homeroom teacher if you are on the fines/fees list.  

The wrestling team is selling school approved sweatshirts for $25. See Coach Cox in E-304 if you are interested.

Optimist Club Speech Contest entries are due to Mrs. Finimore no later than 2:30 p.m. TODAY, Thursday, February 27.  You must submit two typed copies of the script and the entry form at the time of submission. See Mrs. Fin if you have any questions.

Your Viking Tennis Team played Parkway yesterday: Holden Meadows, Colby Thomas, Cade Campbell, Spencer Lazenby, Ashley Hinton, Bella Zimmer, Sully Watson and Annabelle Newton all won their doubles matches. 

Jackson White and Corbin Holcombe won their singles match. Way to geaux Viking tennis!

 

Your JV Baseball Team won both games against Haughton yesterday! They won the first game 7-4, and the second game 9-2. Way to geaux JV Baseball!

 

If you are interested in joining the Airline High Teen Republican Club, there will be an interest meeting TOMORROW, Thursday, February 27, at 6:50 a.m. in Ms. Bryant's room (F-102).  There will also be a sign up sheet outside her classroom for anyone interested in joining this club.

It's time for the Drama Department's Spring Musical "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" Performances are Thursday, March 5 and Friday, March 6 at 6 p.m. in the AHS Auditorium.  Come out and be part of the fun! Tickets are $7.00 adults and students and $5.00 for children.  We hope to see you there!

Your mighty Viking Golf Team played against all their local rivalries yesterday at Stonebridge Golf Club and although they did not bask in the sunlight on the top of podium, they are hungry and driven to get back there. Eli Hill, Drew Bennett, Ethan Dial and Donovan Cooksey were Airline’s top scorers.

Seniors, it is time to plan PROM 2020!  Prom Committee will meet this TOMORROW, Wednesday, February 26 at 7:00AM in C-1 (Mrs. Hollis' room).  All seniors are welcome to be a part of Prom Committee, but you MUST be on time!  No one will be allowed to enter after 7:00AM, so arrive early and bring your best theme idea for Prom 2020.  See Mrs. Hollis or Mrs. Ferrero with any questions.
