The Lady Viking volleyball team traveled to Byrd last night. JV and Varsity both won, Varsity scores were 25-17, 26-24, 25-14. 


This Saturday will be our annual CoEd friends and family volleyball tournament. It will take place in the Boys Gym beginning at 8am and go through the afternoon. It is a lot of fun, if you are not already playing in a team, come out and enjoy some concessions and watch some fun games! 


The AHS Coexist Club celebrates the beauty of diversity while using discussion to find common ground.  If you are interested in thoughtful discussions and learning experiences, please consider Coexist.  See Mrs. Stevenson in room F-309 or any Coexist member. 


First Art Club meeting will be on Tuesday August 29th after school in room C3.


First Anime Club meeting will be on Thursday August 24th after school in room C3.


Yearbooks are on sale in C3 or online at $50 until September 1st then they go up to $60.


Maggio Run 5K- Sept 9, 2017. Sign up online @ School with most entries will win a prize. For more details, pick up a flyer in the main office.


Coffee on sale in the dock in the morning and during lunch as long as it lasts! $1 per cup, 2 each of creamer and sweeteners included. Any extra is $.10 each.


Mu Alpha Theta applications are available outside Mrs. Wolf's room, F-206 and Mrs. Milton's room, F-209. You must have completed Algebra 2 and have an overall GPA of 3.14. Become a part of this ELITE mathematics group! Applications are due by August 23rd! NO LATE applications will be accepted.  


ROTC has ordered 100 Hoodies, if you would like to prepay $30.00 for a hoodie please see SMSgt Miller or Chief Parson in room A5. 


Does any student or teacher want a free pizza delivered to him or her during school on Friday?  All you have to do is put your awarded Viking Vouchers in the drawing box in the library Monday through Wednesday.  Each Wednesday we will draw for a pizza to be delivered to school for the winning student and the winning teacher.  These drawings will be held each week by your PBIS committee and will start this Monday.

Drama Club membership forms are now available from Mrs. Lipsey, Mrs. Finimore, or any Drama Club officer.  Dues are only $15.00 and include the club t-shirt.  Deadline for joining is August 31.  


The 64th Annual Bossier City Lions Club Football Jamboree will be August 25 at M.D. Ray Field at Airline Stadium.  Tickets are $8 and go on sale Wednesday, August 16 in the front office. 


Anyone interested in purchasing a “What A Year T shirt” can buy one from Coach Bivins in room E 312.  These are the shirts with all of the district champions listed on the back.  Shirts are $15.


 Juniors: Class of 2019 t-shirts are now on sale! Short sleeve shirts are $15 and long sleeve shirts are $20. Please see Mrs. Knotts (E107) or Mrs. Ray (E110) to purchase a shirt! Shirts will be sold from August 7th-August 22nd.


Sophomore Class shirts are on sale until the end of August. They are $15 for short sleeve and $20 for long sleeve. You can purchase one from any sophomore senator or Mrs. Gobert in F-106.


Teachers and students will take their pictures on August 30th in the boys' gym during 1st and 2nd block. Everyone look good on that day!


Senior cap and gown pics will be on September 14th. Seniors should have their 125 character quote ready when they come to take the picture.
