Announcements for November 16

AIM students who want to take BPCC classes in the spring term, please see either Mrs. Pugh or Ms. Owens by the end of the week.

Air Force ROTC scholarship applications are due by December 1st.  If you’re interested in applying for a scholarship, please stop by and see Major Kimbrough or Chief Parson.  They will help you apply.  Details are on

Students—Do you like to read? Do you like pizza? Come to the library and sign-up to be a part of the Louisiana Teen Readers’ Choice program.  You only need to read two books.  Students who read more than the required  books will be entered into a drawing for great prizes.

Auditions for the upcoming “Wizard of Oz” production will be held on Monday (today) and Wednesday afternoons from 2:30-4:30 p.m.  See Mrs. Finimore or Mrs. Lipsey if you have any questions.

Bowling sign up sheet is on Coach Bivins’ door M-8.  Tryouts will be on Monday, November 30th.  You will need a physical before you can tryout.

Tired of being called by the wrong name? Let the Yearbook Staff help you.  Check the spelling of your name in the yearbook outside of Mrs. Hahn’s room, in B-3, and make note of any corrections that need to be made.

In conjunction with the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Department, we will be conducting a canned food drive from November 16– December 4.  This will be a contest between homerooms.  The homeroom that brings the most percentage of cans will be awarded a surprise.  Let’s fill all 9 barrels in the foyer in an effort to help those in need.

Archery practice will be Wednesday and Thursday of this week from 2:35-4:00 p.m.  Report to the football field house.  If you have any questions see Coach Rambin in the girl’s gym.

The History Bowl team will be hosting its November trivia night on Thursday, November 19th, in the library.  They will serve dinner at 6:00 p.m. and start the competition at 6:30.  Entry fee is $10 per person (including dinner) and teams consist of eight people.  See any History Bowl team member of Mr. Pedrotty in F4 to sign up or get more information.

We now have all sizes of fleece jackets available for purchase in the student office.
