Are you ready for Halloween? Attend the Drama Department’s Fall Variety Show “Hooray for Halloween” on Thursday night in the auditorium and get treated to acts such as Harry Potter, Scooby Doo, and original dance numbers by Asianna Brown and Johnitie Lee. Admission is $5 at the door and the show starts at 7 p.m. See you there.
Students – The deadline for the Voice of Democracy Speech Contest is Monday, November 3rd. See Mrs. Finimore in room A-3 with any questions. This is a great contest for those who enjoy competitive speaking.
All Freshman boys interested in playing basketball – Tryouts will be held on November 5-6 from 3-5 p.m. in the boys’ gym. You must have a physical before tryouts. If you have a physical from another sport you do not have to get another physical. See Coach White (M-1 or boys gym) to sign up and to get a physical form.
The Junior and Senior AIM trip to ULM and LA Tech has been rescheduled. The new date is November 7th. Please continue to bring Mrs. Pugh your permission slips. If this rescheduling results in your being unable to attend, please email Mrs. Pugh.
Spook-o-grams are on sale. Send a Trick or Treat message to a friend by purchasing a Spook-o-gram from any junior senator for 50 cents. Spook-o-grams will be delivered on Halloween morning. See any junior senator to purchase.
Girls’ soccer tryouts will begin today, October the 27th at 4:40 p.m. You must have your physical and waiver form turned in prior to Monday in order to tryout. You will not be allowed to tryout if you have not turned in the physical and waiver form. See Coach Stowell in the girl’s gym on your lunch break if you have any questions.
College/Career Night for all Bossier Parish high school juniors, seniors, and their parents is scheduled from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Bossier Civic Center Tuesday, October 28, 2014. Representatives from approximately seventy colleges, universities, technical colleges, business schools, beauty schools, service organizations, and branches of the armed services will be available to meet with those interested in attending the various schools. Information on scholarships, financial aid, and admissions procedures will also be presented. This activity is organized and sponsored by the Bossier Parish Guidance Department.
Applications for the European trip are due by October 31. Please see Mr. Pedrotty in F-4, or Mrs. Hahn in B-3 for information.
