The Lady Vikings JV and V defeated Byrd last night (25-2, 25-20, 25-18). Kaylea Noble had 2 aces, 10 kills, 2 blocks, 2 digs. Gabby Patronis 17 aces, 5 kills, 4 digs. Zahria Lloyd 2 aces, 2 kills , 12 assists, 10 digs. Brooklyn Brandon 5 aces, 3 kills, 1 assist, 9 digs.

Attention all freshman boys interested in trying out for the boys basketball team- Tryouts will be on Nov. 1st and 2nd from 3-5 P.M. in the boy's gym. You must have a physical and waiver signed by a parent or guardian to try out. You can download the forms from our website or you can get the forms from Coach White.

 

The fall variety show.  “A Twist of Time” has been moved to November 2nd at 7:00 pm, mark your calendars

Drama Club members - We are collecting items to support the Northwest Louisiana Humane Society.  Bring dog treats, blankets, towels, paper towels or $5.00 to either Mrs. Finimore or Mrs. Lipsey by Friday, October 20. Shelter pets thank you!

 

Airline Girls soccer tryouts will be Monday, October 23rd through Wednesday October 25th. Tryouts will take place at Freedom Fields at First Bossier from 3:00-430 daily. You must have LHSAA physical and Airline waiver completed before you can try out. Please see Coach Meeks if you have any questions.

 

Seniors, you will have your class panoramic picture on Tuesday, October 24 at 8AM.  Please wear solid navy tops and all navy accessories.  You must have on navy to be in the class picture.  Pictures will be on sale that week for $35 in The Dock.  

Immediately after your class picture, we will have a senior class meeting in the auditorium with Graduate Sales.  All BPSTIL students should be on campus that morning and BPSTIL will be notified about your tardiness.

HOBY State Leadership Seminar for Outstanding Sophomores

 

The HOBY (or Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership) program has provided transformative leadership developmental training to positively influence the lives of thousands of high school students in the U.S. and abroad. Any sophomore interested in applying for the HOBY seminar June 15th-18th, 2018 in Port Allen, LA may contact sophomore counselor, Mrs. Garrett. This is a leadership opportunity and characteristics considered are outstanding communication, critical thinking, creative problem solving, strong decision making, sensitivity to others, and a charismatic personality. This seminar will cost $225 (paid by student) and any interested sophomore will have to write an essay describing the most challenging as well as most rewarding aspects of being a leader in his/her school and community. This is an incredible opportunity for anyone interested in cultivating leadership skills that will last a lifetime!

Attention Juniors & Seniors:  

Make plans to attend Bossier Parish College & Career Night on Tuesday, October 24 from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm at Bossier Civic Center.  Several colleges, universities, cosmetology and technical schools, branches of the military, employment opportunities, and financial aid programs will be there.  This is an excellent way to get more information to help with college and career planning.
