Presale football tickets are on sale in the main office for $7. They will be $8 at the gate on Friday. It’s Homecoming Week and we play Franklin Parish.
Vikings, are you going to Homecoming? Do you want to capture the goofy moments with all of your friends? If so, be sure to bring a $1 to take photos at the photo booth that will be set up at the dance. This is an awesome deal you won’t want to miss, so bring your date and don’t be late.
Homecoming Tickets are on today, Wednesday, and Thursday at the senior wall during lunch. Tickets are $15 each. Wednesday is “merica Day. Show your spirit to both your school and country by wearing the red, white and blue. Also show your community service by donating $5 to our annual community fundraiser project and wearing jeans or camo pants. This year’s money is given to the Katy Build Fund to help build a home for a homeless veteran right here in Bossier City. Let’s show our Airline Viking Pride and give to this great project. Our Helping Hearts project is to give to the Rutherford House. Items for each class to bring, Freshman: toilet paper, Sophomores: paper towels, Juniors: napkins, Seniors: kleenex. The homeroom with the most items will receive a donut breakfast. Items will be collected by the student council from the first blocks beginning Tuesday.
FCA is having their Homecoming breakfast at First Baptist Bossier this Friday at 6:30 a.m. Come enjoy food and fellowship.
Soccer players wanting to ride in the homecoming parade need to go by Coach Wade’s room M-6 to pick up a permission form. Forms need to be returned by Thursday, September 18th.
Any member of the “For the Third” that plans to participate in the homecoming parade should pick up a permission slip from outside of Mrs. Zeno’s room D-8. If you are helping with the homecoming trailer, meet after school on Tuesday in Mrs. Zeno’s room.
Pep Squad Members – Please do not forget about the mandatory practice this Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the football stadium. Meet your sponsors in your places in the stands for attendance check. Any questions can be directed towards either Mrs. Garrett or Mrs. Parks.
If you are interested in competitive speaking and winning a prize or two, see Mrs. Finimore in room A-3 to enter the Voice of Democracy speech contest. It is a great opportunity to share your views and your voice. Please see Mrs. Finimore soon if you are interested.
Drama Club members – If you wish to participate in the Homecoming parade next week, you must get a permission slip from Mrs. Finimore in room A-3. Only those students who have turned in permission forms will be allowed to walk in the parade.
If you would like to be on the wrestling team, see Coach Cox (M-10) or Coach Walden (E-4) to pick up all the paperwork needed. The wrestling team welcomes all newcomers, but we really need wrestlers in the 106lb and 113lb divisions.
Airline’s annual red out game will be on September 26th vs West Monroe. This year we are changing the name to a blue out game. We are encouraging everyone to buy a blue out t-shirt. They are preordered only. Orders will be take until September 15th. If you are interested in purchasing a shirt there will be someone at the senior wall at each lunch shift taking orders. Short sleeve are on sale for $12 and long sleeve are on sale for $15. These shirts can be worn on September the 26th to school and all spirit days for the remaining of the school year. All the money will go to the American Heart Association. See Coach Rambin in the girl’s gym if you have any questions. Come on everybody lets BLUE out West Monroe.
The deadline to register for the PSAT is Wednesday, September the 24th. The cost is $14. Students can sign up in the counselors’ office. There will be an informational meeting for parents on Tuesday, September the 16th, at 6:00 p.m. at the Bossier Instructional Center. The PSAT will be given at Airline on Wednesday, October the 15th.
