Announcements for February 11

 

The Airline Beauty pageant is Saturday, February the 13th at 6:00 p.m.  Tickets are $5 at the door and $7 to reserve your spot for the most stunning night of the year.

 

Rehearsal for “We’re Off to See the Wizard” is today for the entire cast. It will be held at the BIC auditorium from 2:30-4.

 

Juniors—We need your photos for the Ring Ceremony slide show.  Submit your pictures to Mrs. Finimore by the deadline of April 15.

 

Ring Ceremony Information forms are now available.  Forms must be turned in no later than April 28 in order to participate in the ceremony on May 6.

 

If you are a junior or senior interested in majoring in a major/engineering field please see Ms. Cannon in E-1 about La. Tech Engineering/Science Day.  We will take a bus to La. Tech for the activities.  The cost is $10.  Deadline for signing up is March 1.  

 

All girls soccer players need to turn in their bags, uniforms, and warm-ups in the morning to the football coaches office.

 

Seniors who would like to take the ACT on March 1st can sign up with Mr. Chatterson.  The cost is $36 and the deadline is Friday, February 19th. 

 

On Thursday the 18th there will be a prom committee meeting at 7 a.m. in Mrs. Pearson’s room.  If you are interested in being a part of prom committee this meeting is mandatory.  No late entries allowed. 

 

If you are interested in medicine, research, or biomedical engineering, applications for the SMART program are available in the Counselors Office.  This is a fantastic opportunity for current juniors to earn a science credit and work with research scientists at the Biomedical Research Foundation this summer.  Application deadline is Thursday, February 25, 2016.
