Announcements 11-19-14

This Friday the FCA breakfast will be held at Airline Church of Christ.   (6:30a.m.)

Octagon – We are collecting canned goods for Operation Blessings through November 21st.  Make sure to bring your items to Mrs. Samuel’s class in room C-5 with a point slip attached.

Pep Squad Members on Team 1 with Mrs. Garrett – The basketball game originally scheduled for Friday, November the 21st had been changed to Thursday the 20th.  The times are the exact same.  Please remember to wear your pep squad uniform to school this Thursday and be in your lines in the boys’ gym in the stands by 5:45 for attendance check.  Any questions can be directed towards Mrs. Garrett. 

Students – please put your VV in the hopper in the Student Office for drawings on Friday.

Project Hope is promoting “Recycling is Good for our Environment.”  Each homeroom is urged to participate in collecting as many empty plastic water bottles as possible instead of throwing them in the trash cans until Friday the 21st.  Each homeroom teacher will be provided plastic bags to collect the bottles.  The bags will be picked up and counted on November the 21st and the results will be presented after Thanksgiving.  Please keep plastic from the landfills and waterways.  Any questions about this project, please contact Mrs. Tolliver or any Project Hope member.

HOBY Leadership Award – It is time to select our HOBY representative for Airline High School.  Any interested Sophomore is encouraged to apply for this leadership position.  For more information about the HOBY award please go to . If you are interested you need to see Mrs. Roberts the 10th grade counselor to sign up and find out what is need to be considered as our HOBY representative.  Our student will attend a state leadership seminar in Port Allen, LA on June 26-28, 2015.  The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, November the 19th, 2014. 

DI students are selling suckers for $1.  If you would like a sweet or our sucker you can see any DI student, Mrs. Hollis, Ms. Lawton, Mrs. Anderson, or Mrs. Stevenson.

All students go by Mrs. Hahn’s room B-3 and check your yearbook picture for correct name.
