Announcements 1-23-15

Come see who will be selected as Airline’s Secret Agent 0015 Saturday night at 7:00 p.m.  Admission is $5 at the door.  No reserved seating.  Doors to the auditorium will open at 6:30. 

All ROTC Drill Team members who are going to the drill meet on Saturday are required to attend a 30 minute meeting today in room A-4. 

Seniors wanting to take the ACT in March – The deadline to sign up is Friday, February the 13th.  Seniors with a current score of 16 or 17, or those who have taken our ACT Prep class this year, can take the test free.  The fee for others is $33.  You can sign up by Friday, February the 13th with Mrs. Teresa Johnson in the counselors’ office.

Attention DI members – You will need to be at Cope Middle School tomorrow by 12:30 for Super Saturday.  Please wear your navy DI t-shirt.  If you did not talk to Mrs. Hollis yesterday, you must stop by her room sometime today.  All release forms and unpaid fees are due.

Tennis Players – If you haven’t turned in your uniform sizes please do so as soon as possible in room F-5.

If you are interested in speaking at a FCA Friday morning breakfast, contact Ms. Tyler or an officer.  Also, there are a few shirts left in her room K-3. 

Track – Anyone interested in running track must come by the gym and pick up information and packet from Coach Reeder today.

3.141592…… day is coming to Airline soon.  Turn in your ideas and art for the Pi day shirt.  The winning design will be given a monetary reward.  The deadline for the contest is February the 6th.  Turn in your designs to E-1. 

Attention Mrs. Sarvis’ Fall Semester AP Human Geography Students – registration deadline for National History Day, Optimist Club, and the World of 7 Billion Contests will be February 5th.  If you plan to enter any of these contests, email Mrs. Sarvis.

Are you interested in competitive speaking and winning money?  We are looking for contestants to participate in the American Legion Oratorical Contest and the Optimist Oratorical Contest.  For contest rules and deadlines, see Mrs. Finimore in room A-3. 

Juniors – If you did not have the opportunity to purchase a Class of 2016 t-shirt, we still have some small and medium shirts available for $10.  See Mrs. Finimore in room A-3 between classes or at lunch to purchase.

Students interested in taking the ASVAB test may sign up in the counselors’ office.  The deadline to sign up is Friday, January 30.  The test will be given Tuesday, February 3.
